Kindergarten artists created these adorable self-portraits in Art class. We discussed how a self-portrait is special because it's a picture of yourself! Our young artists examined themselves in mirrors and drew what they saw. Color was added using crayons. To apply skin, we discussed how there are many colors in the world and even in our school. Each scholar experimented with the colors to find the skin color they felt matched best. Eye color and hair color were applied, once again, using a mirror as a tool to make them just right. These sure turned out great! We proudly have them displayed in the hall for everyone to see.
