Dear Germantown Parents/Guardians, This spring’s GHS Parent Teacher Conferences will be scheduled via Skyward. Parents/guardians can choose to have the conference in-person at GHS or virtually via Google Meet. Conferences will be held on Thursday, March 10th, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Due to the limited number of time slots available, we are asking that parents/guardians prioritize meetings with teachers where there is a concern about student progress. If you do not have concerns, perhaps a call or email to the teacher with any questions that come up would suffice. Detailed directions on scheduling the conferences are included in an attachment with this Family Access message. Conference sign-up will open up on 3/1/22 at 7PM via Skyward Family Access and will close at 12:00pm on 3/9/22. Conferences are nine (9) minutes each and time slots are on a first-come/first-serve basis. Only the unfilled time slots for a teacher will appear for you to select from. If no times appear, it means all conference appointments have been filled. If you are unable to secure a time, please email that teacher directly, and let them know that you would like to schedule an alternate date/time to meet. In-person conferences will be held at Germantown High School, with most teachers in their classrooms for the evening. Some teachers will be in the library or other spaces. We will send out more information on teacher locations as the conferences approach. The virtual conferences will be held using Google Meet. After you have scheduled your conference, you will receive an email from each teacher with whom you have scheduled a conference. This email will provide instructions on how to access the conference from the Google Meet app or your personal device. You can use your student’s Chromebook to facilitate the conference if needed; just let the teacher know and they’ll add the student’s school email to the invited list. If you experience a problem scheduling your conference via Family Access, please contact the Student Services office at 262-502-7256 for assistance. If you would like to schedule a conference with our Student Services staff, please email them directly. If your student is provided with special education services, and you would like to speak to their special education case manager, please contact them directly using the information provided in Skyward. Thank you for your cooperation with this process. We look forward to productive conversations about the progress of our students! Sincerely, The GHS Administrative Team
