The Bears played two games this past week. On Friday they traveled to play KMMO, the game was scoreless after one period. Early in the second period the Bears scored what would turn out to be the game winning goals. Logan Woods scored the goal assisted by Stone Daczka, the Bears would go on to score a couple more goals to win the game 3-0. On Friday the team traveled to Brookfield. Unable to produce consistent offense the Bears scored only one goal in the 3rd period and eventually went on to lose 5-1. The team plays their first conference game Wednesday 12/21 at home against Homestead.

Good luck in the Culver Cup in Madison over break!

This past week was a busy one for the boys' swim and dive team.  On Thursday they competed in a dual meet at home against the Wauwatosa Hurricanes.  Unfortunately, the team was far smaller than Tosa but that didn't stop them from completing a lot of great swims.

The JV and Varsity Medley relays both took 1st place in their respective events.  John Inga, Monroe Gaskill, Nolan Prahl, and Ryan Schraufnagel represented JV while Caden Christian, Connor Warmke, Aiden Schelfout, and Preston Bowerman swam the Varsity relay.

Other first-place finishes include Nolan in the JV 50 free, Connor in the Varsity 100 free and 100 breast, Jayden Knight in the Varsity 500 free, and both JV and Varsity 200 freestyle relays.

Then on Saturday, the JV swimmers traveled to Tosa East for their JV Invite.  Once again the boys put up some solid times despite being a smaller group against some steep competition.

Daniel Xu placed 10th in the 50 free (out of 53 swimmers) and 9th in the 100 breaststroke.  Brett Haensgen was 12th in the 50 free and 6th in the 100 free, which earned him a spot on the podium.  Nolan Prahl just missed earning a middle with his 7th-place finish in the 100 backstroke.

The team is really coming together and is looking forward to their dual meet against cross-town rivals, Menomonee Falls-Sussex Hamilton on Thursday 12-29.  Come see what should be some great swimming starting at 6 pm next Thursday!

The Germantown Boys' Swim Team competed in Conference Relays Last Saturday.  Despite extremely warm conditions and having to rearrange a few events due to illness, the team saw big time drops.  Brett Hansen was able to reach his personal best in the 50 free during two separate events. The 4 by 100 individual medley relay of Jayden Knight, John Inga, Preston Bowerman, and Aiden Schelfout placed 7th with each member achieving a personal best time.  Several of our swimmers swam in their first-ever competition.  The team was able to see Thomas Trump's, Zachary Prescott's, and Daniel Xu's debut swims as Warhawks.  Keep up the great work!  Go Warhawks!
