Warhawk Pride / Vol. 5, No. 15

Last weekend the Warchix traveled to Watertown High School for a competition.  They were able to bring home a 1st place in Pom, a 1st place in Kick and a 3rd place in Jazz.  Great job Warchix! 




Hey GHS! Last night, the Germantown Varsity Bowling Team competed against Menomonee Falls. Germantown pulled out the win in the final game, improving their record to 4-0. Top bowler was Leo Borrelli.

The Germantown Girls' Basketball Team defeated Wauwatosa West 68-51 on Tuesday. Four players scored in double figures for the Warhawks, led by Lucy Leininger with 16 points. KK Arnold (15), Jaycee Mani (11) and Josie Pliszka (11) also had big scoring nights. KK Arnold also contributed 9 rebounds and 6 assists, while Jayce Mani had 3 steals. Good luck tonight at DSHA!


The Ice Bears played Friday night, December 16th against Muskego Ice Force. The Bears took an early lead in the first period when Camden Luedtke assisted Captain Peyton Fountain on the first goal of the night. With only moments left in the second period the Bears took a  2-0 lead when Stone Daczka scored a goal assisted by linemate Reid Newkirk with :19 left in the period. Muskego was able to tie it up, scoring their second goal with only 1:29 left in the game. With :29 left in the period Daczka and Newkirk connected again scoring the game winning goal assisted by Daczka


The team traveled to Arrowhead on Tuesday, Arrowhead took an early 1-0 lead but the Bears were able to tie it up with about 5:00 left in the period when Camden Luedtke assisted a goal to Peyton Fountain. The team took the lead in the 2nd period when Luedtke scored a power play goal. Arrowhead was able to tie it up 2-2 before the end of the period. With just over 3 minutes left in the game Arrowhead scored a power play goal to take the lead and win the game. This is the third loss for the Bears this year, all losses have been by 1 goal.  


The game on Tuesday was cancelled when Bay Port was supposed to make it to town. The team plays Friday against KMMO and Saturday against Brookfield. Good luck!



Germantown hosted West Allis Nathan Hale and Brookfield East on Thursday night. The Warhawks went 2-0 on the night defeating Nathan Hale 66-12 and Brookfield East 54-18. Wrestlers going 2-0 on the night were: Kellen Becker, Owen Becker, Ryan Lesnik, Riese Thornberry, Eli Rabideau, Ryan Michalski, Jacob Momper, Ethan Riddle, Alex Pluta and Jackson Kirsch. The Warhawks travel to West Allis Central this weekend to take part in the E.H. Stech Invite. Good luck!
