The Pom and Dance Team headed to Middleton this past weekend to compete in their Regional competition. They had awesome performances and qualified to bring all 3 of their routines to State next weekend!! They will be heading to La Crosse on Friday to compete at their State competition! Over the weekend, the Germantown Forensics Team competed at the DSHA and finished 1st for mid-sized teams. Individually, 7 competitors placed. Congratulations to Meghan DeChant for 1st in Informative, Paige Johnson for 2nd in Oratory, Arush Chopra for 3rd in Radio, Cassie Zarder for 3th in Storytelling, Kolton Ceman for 3rd in Solo Humorous, Brooke Jakubowski for 4th in Farrago, and James Buchta for 5th in Moments in History. On Thursday, January 23rd, the MSG Ski Team competed in the Slalom race at Heiliger Huegel Ski Hill against Brookfield Central, Kettle Moraine, Oconomowoc, and the UBLT Co-op team.
The Varsity Girls continued their impressive streak, securing 1st place once again! Paige MacIntyre contributed with a strong 5th place finish, helping the team maintain their top spot.
The JV Girls also took home 1st place, with Allie Wink leading the way with a fantastic 2nd place finish.
The Varsity Boys finished in 3rd place, with Grayson Butzke skiing to 7th place and Jackson Butzke finishing at 16th.
The JV Boys had a strong showing, also taking 1st place, with Justin Sossaman rounding out the team with a 13th place finish.
On Wednesday, January 29th, the team faced off against DSHA/Marquette, Homestead, and Franklin at Crystal Ridge in another Slalom event.
The Varsity Girls placed 2nd, with Paige MacIntyre earning an impressive 5th place finish.
The Varsity Boys came in 3rd place in a tight competition, with Grayson Butzke finishing 5th and Jackson Butzke right behind in 6th.
The JV Boys secured 3rd place, with Justin Sossaman finishing 14th.
MSG's final conference ski race is next Wednesday, February 5th, at Alpine Valley. Let's cheer on our athletes as they finish out the season strong!
Congratulations to the Germantown Ice Fishing Team who competed in the state-wide WIFA North/South Tag Team Trifecta Tournament last weekend.
For the North/South Tourney, Germantown was paired up with Waupaca HS.
The G-town/Waupaca team finished 5th overall, out of 32 teams!
By category the team finished in 3rd place for Walleye, 3rd for Bluegill, 6th for Crappie, 8th for Perch, 22nd for Northern, and 23rd for Bass. Well done to all!
Last night the Warhawk wrestlers defeated Tosa East/West 65-10 to clinch their 4th straight conference duals championship. Congratulations to Eli Rabideau as he picked up his 100th career pin, becoming the 2nd wrestler in program history to accomplish that feat!!
Next up the Warhawks travel to Nathan Hale for the conference tournament on 2/7.

The girls' basketball team started the second round of conference play with wins over Menomonee Falls and Wauwatosa West.
Against Menomonee Falls the Warhawks had a strong offensive game in a 80-60 win with all five starters scoring in double figures. Madeline Jakusz dominated the paint for 20 points with Jaycee Mani (13 points), Danica Gosz (13 points), Maddie Stocks (12 points) and Emma Wolf (10 points) also making strong contributions.
On Tuesday, the girls basketball team defeated Wauwatosa West 89-21. All 13 players scored in the game and everybody got involved in the win. Lily Orlowski hit three 3's on her way to 9 points. Morgan Johnson had 9 points and 5 rebounds. Teigan Stuve had 8 points and 2 blocked shots. Madelyn Andrus had 8 points and 4 steals.
Tonight the Warhawks take on Wauwatosa East who is ranked #1 in the state in Division 2. Good luck GTOWN!
The boys' basketball team defeated Wauwatosa West 80-67 on Tuesday night and then turned around to face a strong Wisconsin Lutheran team on Wednesday. They ended up losing 55-72. The Warhawks return tonight to face Wauwatosa East away. GOOD LUCK!
The Bears Hockey team played 3 games this week. The first was a conference game at Muskego. The Bears got off to a slow start going down 2-0 in the first period. From there it was an uphill battle and ended up losing the game 7-4. Reid Newkirk contributed with 1 goal and 2 assists. On Monday the team played a makeup sectional game against Fond du Lac. Fond du Lac jumped out to an early 1-0 lead in the first period. The Bears responded with a goal of their own 5 minutes later which was assisted by Griffin Stein. In the second period the Bears scored the only goal, assisted by Reid Newkirk. In the third period the Bears scored another goal assisted by Reid Newkirk and went on to win the game 3-2 On Thursday night the team hosted Cedarburg for the final conference game of the year. The Bears went up 2-0 in the first period with a power play goal assisted by Reid Newkirk. The second period saw the end of the scoring with the Bears scoring two more goals, one assisted and one scored by Reid Newkirk.
Saturday, February 1st the team plays a home game against Onalaska. It is Military Appreciation Night and the biggest game the team puts on in the season. A lot of events are going on during the game including a silent auction. The team has raised close to $22,000 dollars over the past three years and donated 100% of the money back to military organizations. JV plays at 2 and Varsity plays at 4 pm. Good luck!
The boys' swim team hosted the JV Conference Swim Meet last night. The team did SUPER well! Good luck to the varsity swimmers as they head to their conference meet tomorrow at Waukesha South!
