The Pep Band added to its ranks last week with the World’s Largest Pep Band. KMS band students, alumni, parents, and friends joined the fun of playing at the game and cheering on the team. In the band, you can find a KMS band director, KMS aide, Greenfield band director and many more. Thank you to all who played!

Germantown Warhawks Dominate Brown Deer in 106-54 Victory
The Germantown Warhawks basketball team showcased an impressive offensive performance, cruising to a dominant 106-54 win over Brown Deer on Tuesday night. The team’s high-scoring effort was highlighted by several key players contributing both offensively and defensively in the commanding victory.
The Warhawks displayed a well-rounded scoring effort with multiple players reaching double figures. Leading the charge was Austin Grass, who contributed a game-high 21 points. His sharp shooting and court vision were vital in creating offensive opportunities for his teammates.
Also stepping up was JJ Walters, who added 13 points to the scoreboard, while Cahlil Jones finished with 13 points as well. Keenan Mulberry played a key role, finishing with 15 points to help the Warhawks extend their lead throughout the game. Other players also made their presence felt in the blowout win. Darrius Peete chipped in with 10 points, contributing to the Warhawks' offensive depth. Jack Olzewski added 11 points, providing scoring support from the perimeter and inside.
Cooper Catalano and Dylan Merryfield both contributed with 7 points and solid rebounding, helping the team control the boards and maintain their commanding lead.
Germantown Warhawks Fall to Brookfield Central, 76-61
The Germantown Warhawks suffered a tough defeat on Tuesday night, falling to Brookfield Central 76-61 in an intense matchup. Despite a strong effort from the Warhawks, including standout performances from Cahlil Jones and JJ Walters, the team struggled to contain Brookfield Central’s offensive firepower.
Jones and Walters each contributed 15 points for Germantown, showing resilience and leadership on the court. Their efforts kept the game within reach, but Brookfield Central's fast-paced offense and depth ultimately proved too much for the Warhawks to overcome.
Germantown Warhawks Dominate Sussex Hamilton 89-48 in Senior Night Victory
The Germantown Warhawks capped off a memorable Senior Night with an impressive 89-48 victory over Sussex Hamilton. The team honored its five seniors—Tyler Schutt, Keenan Mulberry, Doug Wagner, Austin Grass, and Cooper Catalano—in a game that saw stellar performances from both the seniors and underclassmen alike.
Austin Grass led the charge for the Warhawks, scoring a game-high 21 points. His offensive presence was crucial to the team’s commanding win. JJ Walters contributed significantly with 13 points, helping to further solidify Germantown's dominance.
Senior forward Cooper Catalano had a strong all-around performance, finishing with 12 points and 7 rebounds. His energy on both ends of the court was instrumental in keeping the Warhawks ahead throughout the game. Junior Cahlil Jones, added 7 points, 6 assists, 3 rebounds, and 4 steals, displaying his versatility and defensive prowess.
In addition to the seniors' contributions, Darrius Peete scored 9 points and Mason Maciejewski added 8 points, both providing solid support to the team’s offense.
Last Friday the girls' basketball team took on state ranked Whitefish Bay (#3 in Division 2) and lost 69-53. The team battled throughout most of the game, but a late run put it away for the Dukes. Danica Gosz kept the Warhawks in the game by putting up 29 points.
On Tuesday and Thursday of this week, Germantown got back into conference play with victories over Brookfield Central (77-60) and Hamilton (54-44).
The game against Central was a back and forth affair until a strong second half run put the game away for the Warhawks. Danica Gosz had 24 points and 6 assists. Madeline Jakusz reached a double-double with 21 points and 12 rebounds. Madelyn Andrus hit three 3's on her way to 11 points.
Hamilton did their best to slow down Germantown, but a strong effort by all five starters kept the Chargers at bay in securing a double digit win. Danica Gosz continued her solid scoring season with 21 points, while Madeline Jakusz contributed 14 points and 11 rebounds. Teigan Stuve had 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals in the victory.
The girls' basketball team is currently 6-1 in the conference, tied with Brookfield East for 2nd place, setting up a showdown against the Spartans at home on Tuesday.

Lakeshore Lightning is on a 5 game winning streak with an 12-3-1 season record marking its highest win total in its 11 year program history! The winning streak included winning the Admirals Cup at the UWM Panther Arena last weekend with a 5-2 win over perennial hockey power Hudson in the championship game, followed up by a 3-1 conference win Tuesday over Arrowhead.

The Menomonee Falls/Sussex/Germantown (MSG) Ski Team is back and looking forward to this season! On Thursday, January 2nd, the team faced off against Arrowhead, Brookfield East, and Nicolet in an exciting season opener.
The Varsity Girls, Varsity Boys, and JV Boys all earned impressive 2nd place finishes.
Top Germantown Performers:
Varsity Girls: Paige MacIntyre took 6th place, while Allie Wink finished 9th out of 24 competitors.
Varsity Boys: Grayson Butzke came in 4th, with Jackson Butzke securing 9th, out of 24 racers.
JV Boys: Justin Sossaman finished 9th out of 16 racers.

Over the weekend, girls' varsity wrestling competed at the Lancer Invite with Maev Michalak taking 2nd and Amelia Johnson earning her first varsity win! The boys wrestled Brookfield Central, defeating the Lancers 69-12, winning 12 of the 14 matches. Next up the JV travels to Oostburg high school for a chance at JV State. Good luck!
Congratulations to one of Germantown’s own for her dedication and service to Germantown High School Athletics. Each year, Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association (WIAA) member schools can select one recipient in their communities to receive this award and longtime event worker, former district employee, community supporter and friend in Rhonda Siegman is this year’s recipient.
