The Germantown School Board approved a contract for Mr. Jacob Misiak as the next Director of Teaching & Learning of the Germantown School District. He will replace Dr. Chris Reuter, who will transition to the Superintendent position on July 1.
Mr. Misiak currently serves as the principal of Forest Park Middle School in the Franklin Public School District. His background is comprised of teaching experience at the middle school level in math and science, as well as six years of administrative experience as an associate principal and his current position as a principal of a 1,100-student middle school.
“We are thrilled to have Mr. Misiak join our team and the Germantown community,” said current Director of Teaching & Learning, Chris Reuter. “Jake rose to the top of our candidate pool and multiple interviews, culminating with parents, teachers, Board of Education members, and administrative team representation in the final round of interviews. His leadership style will bring a process-driven mindset to think and act strategically to implement curriculum across the district to benefit every student and teacher.”
Mr. Misiak shared a few words about joining the Germantown School District community:

I’m excited to support the continuous improvement of teaching practices and growing systems to support our educational programs to maximize the potential of each of our students.”
Mr. Misiak will officially begin his duties on July 14, 2022. The school district is excited to welcome Jake Misiak to our outstanding district and looks forward to his leadership building on our vision of success.
