The Germantown School Board has selected Dr. Chris Reuter to become the next Superintendent of the Germantown School District. During a special School Board meeting on Thursday, May 26, 2022, the School Board approved the Superintendent contract for Dr. Reuter. He will replace Dr. Brett Stousland, who had his resignation approved by the Germantown School Board on Monday night.
Dr. Reuter is currently serving as the Germantown School District Director of Teaching and Learning and will bring over 20 years of public education experience to the position of Superintendent of Germantown Public Schools.
“I’m honored and humbled about the opportunity to serve the Germantown School District and community in the capacity of Superintendent. In the short time I’ve been in the district, I have seen and heard about the great work that takes place daily on behalf of kids. Together, we will take an already great district to the next level.”
Over the next month, Dr. Reuter will begin working with Dr. Stousland to aid in a smooth transition and work to fill his vacated position of Director of Teaching and Learning. In the coming weeks, information will be shared with parents and community members about an official meet and greet where Dr. Reuter will share more about himself personally and his vision for the district.
He will officially begin his duties on July 1, 2022. The school district is excited to welcome Dr. Reuter to our outstanding district and looks forward to his leadership building on our vision of success.
